I’ve been on Medium for a few years now and have decided it’s time for a change. Every writer would love to be paid for writing, but I’m tired of things being behind a paywall or limits to how many articles you can read. So I’ve started my own site, where I can just have my articles out and open. No sign in is required, just open to read it for what it is.
I want my work to be accessible.
One of my favourite parts of writing is when someone connects with what I have written. If for a moment they see themselves in the words, feel their emotions validated, feel less alone, then it makes me feel content to know that piece found the right audience. It may only be one person, but if they got what they needed from it, then it was worth writing it and publishing it publicly.
So for the next while I’ll be writing new content, but I’m going to spend some time transferring my older articles to this site.
